Victorian and Edwardian mansion blocks facing the sea, substantial villas and terraces on the streets behind, much of it conservation area and a good deal divided into flats. Controlled parking, very little off-street standing, and genuine exposure to wind on the clifftop.

The old high street and the steep cobbled lanes running down to the harbour — flats above galleries and workshops, period cottages, and almost nowhere to put a vehicle. Below it, the regeneration stock around the harbour arm with proper loading arrangements.

Sandgate's shoreline village strung along a single coast road with property fronting straight onto it, then Hythe — a proper town with a high street, Victorian and Edwardian stock, the Royal Military Canal shaping the routing, and modern housing on the edges.
CT18 · CT19
The suburban heart of the patch: interwar and post-war semis and terraces with driveways and turning space, the Channel Tunnel terminal on this side of town, and Hawkinge and the downland villages above — older village property mixed with newer estate development, exposed in wind.

Dover, Ashford and Herne Bay each have their own coverage on our network, and the Kent county site handles everything above town level including Kent-wide and long-distance work. We stay on the SE Kent coast and point people at the right one rather than covering a town in passing. West of Hythe, towards Dymchurch and Romney Marsh, is outside the patch. Beyond Kent we move people out of the area constantly — to London, along the south coast, north and west for work, and, given where we are, abroad rather more often than most town firms.
